Voltage Security Provides Secure
Communication Platform for Government JWID 2004 Operation
Information
Sharing Between Homeland Security, Homeland Defense Partners
and Military Operations to be Secured by Voltage
Palo
Alto, CA., --June 4, 2004 – Voltage
Security Inc.,
a leading provider of secure business communication
solutions, today announced participation in the Joint
Warrior Interoperability Demonstration (JWID) 2004.
JWID is an annual event sponsored by the Chairman
of the Joint Chiefs of Staff that enables U.S. combatant
commands and the international community to investigate
command and control, communications and computer
solutions designed to meet key objectives. Specific
to this year’s
JWID is the coordination with the U.S. Department
of Homeland Security and Homeland Defense partners.
JWID will take place from June 14-25, 2004 and will
be conducted over the Combined Federated Battle Laboratories
Network (CFBLNet).
“In
a terrorist or military crisis situation it is imperative
that the government and military be able to establish secure
communications channels quickly, easily and with full-confidence.
Voltage solutions have been selected as part of JWID because,
with our Identity-Based Encryption (IBE) technology, it is
extremely easy to establish secure, content-level communications,
among a wide-group of dispersed participants, both wired
and wireless. We are confident that Voltage will meet and
exceed the rigors of this demonstration, and are thrilled
to be part of the challenge of JWID,” said Sathvik
Krishnamurthy, president and CEO of Voltage Security, Inc.
"JWID has unlimited potential for changing and improving
information sharing, interoperability, and concept validation," said
Maj. Gen. Dale Meyerrose, U.S. Northern Command director
of architectures and integration. “We will seek to
break new ground beyond the normal JWID coalition interoperability
area into government interagency information sharing. We
want to make JWID 2004 'community property' for every potential
partner in military operations and in military support
of civil operations."
