Advantage Bank Selects Voltage Security to Enable Secure Communication with Business Partners

Palo Alto, CA., June 14, 2004---Voltage Security, Inc., a leading provider of secure business communication solutions, today announced that Advantage Bank, a locally-owned, community bank headquartered in Loveland, Colorado is using the Voltage Security platform to enable secure communication with select business partners. Voltage SecurePolicy Suite™, Voltage SecureMail™ and Voltage SecureFile™ will be used to ensure compliance with federal privacy regulations and streamline business process.

“We need to communicate with our business partners via email and protecting the privacy of our bank customers is extremely important. Our business partners are small, local businesses that do not have internal IT support; we needed to find a solution they can use easily and without training and management. Voltage is ideal because it is flexible, extremely easy-to-use and provides the privacy we need,” said Mike Peters, chief financial officer of Advantage Bank.

“We looked at a lot of solutions including those built on traditional PKI. We like the Voltage platform because it is a server-based solution and easy to manage, and the email-based authentication is simple and straightforward when compared to managing certificates,” said Eric Jones, IT manager at Advantage Bank.

“Advantage Bank  benefits greatly from the Voltage secure communication platform; it enables a local business  to securely communicate with its business partners with minimum infrastructure investment. We are seeing more and more of these scenarios where businesses want to leverage their extranets and need to add a secure  communication channel to meet compliance standards,” said Wasim Ahmad, vice president of marketing, Voltage Security, Inc.
