Large Regional Hospital
South Nassau Communities Hospital Selects Voltage Security
to Provide Secure Messaging between Physicians and Patients
Palo Alto, CA - December 6, 2004 -- Voltage Security, Inc., a global leader in enterprise privacy, today announced that South Nassau Communities Hospital (SNCH), a 435-bed acute care hospital serving the communities of the South Shore of Long Island, NY, has selected Voltage SecureMailT to protect confidential patient information sent between patients and physicians. Voltage SecureMail enables SNCH to comply with federal HIPAA regulations that require protection of patient information.
The SNCH deployment of Voltage SecureMail revolves around the use of the innovative Voltage Zero Download MessengerT software which enables hospital patients to receive, decrypt, encrypt and send secure email all without downloading and installing a separate piece of software. This capability greatly increases the ease-of-use of the software for the patient. Physicians, who will be sending and receiving secure messages on a regular basis, have the option to download and integrate the Voltage SecureMail client plug-in with their Microsoft Outlook email software.
