Voltage Security Identity-Based Encryption Wins “Top Performer”
in Government JWID 2004 Operation
Voltage IBE Security Platform deployed at USNORTHCOM, SPAWAR
and Hanscom AFB
PALO ALTO, CA — January 31, 2005 —Voltage Security, Inc., a global leader in enterprise privacy management, today announced that the Voltage Identity-Based Encryption (IBE) Security Platform was awarded “top performer” status in the recently concluded Joint Warrior Interoperability Demonstration (JWID) 2004. In addition, the Voltage IBE Security Platform was one of only nine solutions nominated to the Transformation Change Package (TCP) process which is managed by the U.S. Joint Forces Command.
JWID has changed its name to Coalition Warrior Interoperability Demonstration (CWID).
The report issued by JWID 2004 states, “Voltage IBE is uniquely positioned to support Department of Homeland Security (DHS) organizations requiring data encryption, secure email communications, and external interfaces to BlackBerry or personal digital (PDA) devices.”
The report goes on to say, “The Voltage IBE Security Platform provided a means to securing communication without PKI certificate management implementations. Voltage IBE used a public key that did not need to be known or established prior to encrypting a message. This technology stands to significantly reduce requirements for management infrastructure, greatly lowering end user requirements, and allowing the public key to specify policy. Additionally, the platform offered centralized administration and uncomplicated client software setup and utilization plug-ins.”
“Being awarded ‘Top Performer' status by customers as demanding as the U.S. military and Department of Homeland Security provides critical validation for both IBE and the enterprise-class applications and platform services we have built around IBE,” said Sathvik Krishnamurthy, president and CEO of Voltage Security, Inc.
"JWID 2004 set high objectives for Voltage IBE including information sharing, multi-level security and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance dissemination. Voltage met or exceeded all of those objectives and was truly a 'top performer' of JWID 2004," said CWID officals.
