Voltage Security Adds John G. Weald, Seasoned
Silicon Valley Engineering Executive, as Vice-President of
Engineering
Palo Alto, California–August 21, 2006–Voltage
Security, Inc.,
a global leader in enterprise privacy management today announced
that John G.Weald, a seasoned Silicon Valley engineering
executive with over 25 years of software development and
management experience, assumed the role of Vice President
of Engineering at Voltage, effective immediately.

requirements become increasingly challenging. John has the depth of experience
and management know-how to lead our engineering team through this important
expansion.”
Weald joins
Voltage from Sylantro Systems where he was most recently
Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Engineering.
Sylantro is the leading provider of SIP application servers,
and is currently deployed at over 70 carriers worldwide.
Weald joined the company in 1998 as employee number five
and assembled and led the engineering team to deliver Sylantro’s carrier-class solution.
Prior to Sylantro, Weald was Vice President of Engineering
at Worldtalk Corporation, which was later acquired by Tumbleweed. At Worldtalk, Weald was part
of the founding team that developed the first email firewall and mail products
which were subsequently successfully deployed in many Fortune 500 companies.
Prior
to Worldtalk, Weald held engineering and management
positions at Touch Communications, a leading provider
of networking protocol software, Austec, Inc., AGS
Computers, Inc., and ITT in London England.
Weald holds a B.Sc. degree in Data Processing
from Loughborough University in England.
