The DIB Cyber Pilot
in which the Defense Department, in partnership with the Department of Homeland Security, shares classified threat information and the know-how to employ it with participating defense companies or their Internet service providers to help them in defending their computer networks from attack or exploitation.
So it looks like the DoD and DHS are going to try sharing classified threat data with the private sector. That might be a good idea, but I have serious doubts of the government's ability to actually do it in a useful way. Government agencies have a long history of not sharing information, even when it makes sense to, and I doubt that this initiative will change that.
