We are Serious about Security at RSA
In the digital world, information is the new asset; therefore safeguarding that information has become a top priority for enterprises. If you are in the security space, then you know it is that time of year for the RSA Conference in San Francisco, CA. This year over 30,000 attendees will descend on the Moscone Center to learn about IT security’s most important issues through first-hand interactions. The conference keeps security professionals across the globe connected and educated, and is also a great opportunity to connect with the technology, trends and people that will protect our digital world.
We are serious about security and believe in the RSA Conference’s mission to educate and enlighten about today’s security challenges. HPE Security is offering free entry into the exhibit hall for customers who register with code “XSHP16” — we especially relish the interactions between our customers and prospects that share the same security challenges and we hope to chat with you at HPE Security Booth #3411!
One speech you won’t want to miss is the March 2nd Keynote session by Martin Fink, titled, “Turning the tables: Radical new approaches to security analytics.” The battle between attackers and attacked has long been asymmetric. The answer lies in Big Data analytics. But as security operations mature, current analytics approaches will struggle to handle the exponentially growing volume of data with richer context, new machine sources and at machine speed. Martin will talk about a radically new system and data protection architectures that could turn this asymmetry on its head.
Martin is Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer and Director of Hewlett Packard Labs, the company’s exploratory and advanced research group. Learn more in this blog post, “Catching up with Martin Fink.”

SC Magazine Awards Ceremony
HPE Security – Data Security will do double duty that night, as HPE SecureMail has been recognized as a Trust Award finalist in the Best Email Security Solution category for the 2016 SC Awards. The finalists and winners for the newly revamped Trust Awards (formerly Reader Trust Awards) are chosen by a distinguished group of leading IT security professionals from the SC Magazine readership and selected by the SC editorial team. Winners will be announced at the SC Awards 2016 ceremony running concurrent to RSA on March 1st.
The SC Awards, now in its 19th year, are recognized throughout the security industry as the gold standard of excellence in cybersecurity. With the awards, SC Magazine recognizes the achievements of security professionals in the field, the innovations happening in the vendor and service provider communities, and the vigilant work of government, commercial and nonprofit entities.
